I have good news!

I did my formal statement for Mercury insurance (the insurance company of the guy who backed into me). My claims adjuster, "Victoria" has talked to Mr. Killed* My Car, "Shawn," and she let me know after hearing his formal statement and mine that they are accepting full liability for the accident.

I am going to be called by a place (Walker on Tennessee St, anyone heard of it?) where I will bring my car, they will give me and Mercury an estimate, and Mercury will send me a check for the damages. They will also issue me a rental car (from Enterprise! They pick you up!) for the time that my car will be being fixed. Victoria still needs to talk to Sara to make sure she isn't injured and get a brief statement from her about what happened, and she has to talk to my parents to get a verbal "okay" to send me a check instead of them, since the car is in their names.

Yay! Money! A fixed car! And a fun rental car! That I will be allowed to drive!

Enterprise has changed their requirements and now rents to anyone (well, anyone possessing a license, etc.) over 21. I know, because I asked Victoria, because I thought you had to be over 25 as well.
