We know how to prevent hangovers-- everyone knows you can't get a hangover if you don't drink, but also drinking water afterwards helps, since a hangover is merely dehydration. We also know ways to prevent heart disease, obesity, speeding tickets, bad grades... yet we choose to ignore the signs, and most people at one point or another will eat a french fry knowing that its terrible for them, or go over the speed limit, even though there's the possibility of getting caught. The action (or even the risk-taking of the situation) can be fun, but does living in the moment prove to be so momentous?
