In response to a friend's hangover, I channeled Carrie Bradshaw in writing this:

We know how to prevent hangovers-- everyone knows you can't get a hangover if you don't drink, but also drinking water afterwards helps, since a hangover is merely dehydration. We also know ways to prevent heart disease, obesity, speeding tickets, bad grades... yet we choose to ignore the signs, and most people at one point or another will eat a french fry knowing that its terrible for them, or go over the speed limit, even though there's the possibility of getting caught. The action (or even the risk-taking of the situation) can be fun, but does living in the moment prove to be so momentous?

Opinions?

I've never ever in my life gotten drunk to the point of passing out, and on the very rare occasions when I DO have too much to drink, I drink a glass of water with a couple of preventative tylenols before going to bed.

I've passed out/blacked out more times than I wish to admit to. :/ Fortunately only once in the past six years, though.

Yeah it is. I mean you only live once. Just so long as you take others into consideration when acting.

Of course I wish I hadn't made such a mess in my bathroom/the kitchen. :/
