Early morning stuff

I'm wearing my glasses today. They go with my outfit, but more than that, they're kind of an escape. I know, they don't really "hide" me, but I guess I feel more protected when I'm wearing them. It's very odd, really.

I took my parents to the airport at 5 am. By "took," I mean that I lay half-asleep and groggy in the backseat as my dad drove, but of course I had to drive the van back. Thank goodness for friends who will wake up in the middle of the night and talk to you to make sure you don't fall asleep on the road.

So now the parentals are on their way to San Francisco-- my dad has a conference, and my mom's brother lives there. I've got the house all to myself, and I don't really want to be alone there. Anyone want to come keep me company? My parents say no boys, but right now boys are about as appealing (in that sense) as dead carp, so they needn't worry. So yeah, you guys are pretty much welcome to come over whenever. If you don't know where my parents house is (it's the house I grew up in), give me a call, and I'll give you directions.

Padfoot is really chewing up his back. He's definitely got a bald spot, and any amount of bitter spray I put on there (for dogs, to keep them from chewing) doesn't help. I scold him whenever I see him chew, but that doesn't seem to help either. Any suggestions? If this doesn't stop pretty soon, we're going to the vet. My poor doggy :(

I'm tired. Been up since 4:30, and I've got another ten hours of work ahead of me. Looong day.

Go to the vet, and get one of those collar-cones for him plus something strong to treat the spot where he's been chewing. It's obviously itching to the point where he feels the need to do something about it, and you need to address the problem directly without worrying about him chewing at it further.

when bagel was doing that it was because he was allergic to flea bites. And Bagel was taking frontline too. But who knows. Sounds like a good idea to have the vet check it out.

1. A rash

2. Allergies, which can be food related or just something that's in the air this season.

Give him benadryl. 1 25mg tablet twice a day.
