It's hard to be happy for another person when you're both jealous and
discontent.

Did you know that during Yom HaShoah in Israel, the country pretty much stops at 10:00 am for about an hour?

This is true. There was a "sermon" on my morning radio talk show about this topic. The Bert Show has started bringing on "Father Bailey," a Catholic priest who sings (Burt Bacharach this morning, what the world needs now is love) and uses pop culture references to explain himself.

Yes, I'm quoting a radio priest -- who is about to be profiled in the NY Times.

Father Bailey on being happy for someone (namely an ex): He used the example of Chris Klein and Nicole Kidman releasing happy-for-you statements for TomKat and Kitten. (although the Nicole one has been disputed). Anyway, Father Bailey said (paraphrased) this is the divine level of love and forgiveness, even though instead of being happy for those people what you really want is for them to be "run over by a Mack truck." That the only way you can "pack the emotional suitcase and get on the amtrak train of life" (in other words, move on) is to try as hard as you can to be happy for them.

Here's a link if you want to listen (scroll down to "get crunk with father bailey"): http://www.allthehitsq100.com/bertshow/
