Beauty and the Beast was really amazing. If I disliked any character, it was the Beast, but I think he was just trying to make his voice lower, and it came out funny. The Beast was such a PANSY, so it was weird. But hey, thats the stage version, I guess. Lots of new songs. Loved most of them. Did NOT like "Human Again," because the bit characters singing had about this much (squeezes thumb and forefinger together) intonation. The main cast was pretty awesome though (shout out to LeFou, played by enjoynathaniel!) Also, shout outs that will never be seen to Elexa (Belle) and Candice (Silly Girl).

Saw Aldo, Rabbi Garfein (the old rabbi from Temple Israel), and some other guy who I still can't place, and now can't even picture. Oh well.

Justin was pissy the whole night, which sucked. He attributes it to too much caffeine, but whatever. I was in a fabulous mood, despite the fact that my zipper broke off as I was putting my dress on (cut to after the show: Indira having to come over to get me out).

And now a poll. Please please take it. I need to prove something.

Poll #630804 Playbills

After a play, do you

keep OR throw away your playbill
13(92.9%)
give it back
1(7.1%)

why would you give back a playbill? I have never heard of doing that ever. Weird.

Exactly. So imagine my surprise when we get into Justin's car, he looks at the playbill, and accuses me of stealing! "Err.. Melissa, you're supposed to give those back"

:P

at the least, it's what they do at the hippodrome.

interesting how you make edits only after you get feedback. Deception, thy name is mwa.

The only edit I made was adding "Please please take it. I need to prove something" so that way more people would take my poll and you'd realize how very wrong you are.

And, I sincerely, sincerely doubt that you are supposed to give back playbills at the hippodrome, unless maybe you went to see a preview performance of a play that wasn't funded very well, and they needed those same ones from Opening Night.

I have my playbills from the Hippodrome, too.

I have playbills from the hippodrome too. Why would companies pay for advertising in the playbills if people couldn't take them home?

apparently, and I quote, "When you walk out of the Hippodrome there's a big bin with a woman standing guard and a sign that says 'Please return your programs'"

Or some quote close to that anyway.

I went to several shows in the Hippodrome and never saw this alleged event, the returning of the programs.
