wearing my mom's shirt

Its vintage! it's ATLEAST thirty years old. It's Girl Scouts. Its long
sleeved and white, with green GS's all over, and occasional orange and
yellow GS's. It's collared and tailored, but soft cotton.

I am a fan. It's fabulous.

This sounds like it belongs in dulljournal. Sorry dudes.

My mom is figuring out who is on our rotation to be asked over for Kol
Nidre this year, or atleast thats how it feels. "Is it time for the
Spitzers again? It's time for the Spitzers.. Or maybe the Strattons?
We like the Strattons, they have a boy Melissa's age. How about the
Collins family? Max for Deborah? Nu? You want I should invite them

The above is an exaggeration.

I vote for the Strattons. Tell Mom to email the village matchmaker and set it up :)

you would not believe the flack I got when I stupidly answered a call from Eric while I was in the car with the fam. (he was calling to invite me to a frat party).

When paisley and bell bottoms came back into fashion a few years ago, my mother lamented that she wished she'd kept more of her clothes from when she was a teenager, because she wouldn't have had to spend money buying me clothes, and the would have been real vintage.

Rotation for dinner? You really mean "only invite those who have a son around our daughter's age"! Silly mothers. Lucky for me in some ways, my mother is a convert, so I don't have to deal with too much of that. Although she did want me to go to the University of New Haven so I could meet all the "nice Jewish lawyer men across the street at Yale." HAH.

I suppose the rotation doesn't refer to the five or so "nice Jewish boys" that exist in Tallahassee, but rather the different family friends. If we could invite them all over, I suppose that would be ideal for my parents, but there just isn't enough room. So we'll end up with one large or two small families (hopefully no repubs, like the events of last Thanksgiving

Anyway, the nice Jewish boy families are just icing on the cake.
