House & Mortgage!

  • Have Wachovia and ING send me paper statements
  • File 2004 taxes
  • Collect 2004, 2005, and 2006 1040EZ forms
  • Collect 2004 & 2005 W-2 Forms
  • Find 2006 W-2 Forms
  • Give all to Mortgage!Dude

I have an idea where my 06 W-2s are, but I forgot to search this morning. After this I will have no more paperwork to get to Mortgage!Dude. Regarding this, anyway. Who knows what I am going to need for my homebuyer's grant.

Regarding the house itself:

They're going to fix the sun room, no doubt. The selling realtor let us know that, and was surprised to hear that the sunroom is neither heated nor cooled. I'll chalk this up to an honest mistake.

I have roofers coming out today to give me two different estimates, which I will give to the sellers. Hopefully they will agree to pay part of it, as NO one will be able to get insurance on the house without a new roof. If by chance the roofers say that the roof will be good for another five years (in writing), I will not require the sellers to pay anything, and I will pay to fix the roof myself in the next two years-- because regardless, it needs to be replaced.

Man, I'm such a grown-up. The fact that all of this is happening to me is really quite crazy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PADFOOT!

My fantabulous muppet-fraggle-mop-puppet-lemur-bear-marionette-dog-thing, Padfoot, turns THREE on TAX DAY. I adopted him on August 15th when they said he was "about" four months old. Instead of claiming his birthday to be April 15th, I claimed it to be Tax Day.

I love you, Padfoot! Happy Birthday, and I hope you enjoyed your peanut-buttery homemade dog treats.

Love, Mommy
