(no subject)

The use of the non-word 'u' can pretty much make me go from liking someone an awful lot to really not wanting to ever talk to them again. That quickly. Seriously.

Update on Ron - Thursday

They are moving Ron from ICU today, after his surgery -finishing a fasciotomy on his leg- (scheduled for noon). He's still expected to be in the hospital for several weeks, especially if he is going to do in-patient physical therapy, which his doctors are really pushing for.

After his surgery he will be moved to Room 4431, which is right down the hall from where he was in the ICU. They'll move all of his flowers/books/candy, etc with him, but Tara (the blonde nurse) was concerned about the expensive stuff, so Ron asked me to take it for a couple of hours while he's in surgery. So, Laura, I have your DVD player and DVDs, and plan to return them to Ron in his new room this evening. I just wanted to let you know.

When I was there this morning there was a woman there testing his memory, which seems to be perfectly fine. It was amusing to watch, though, certainly. Ron seems to be in good spirits. They don't know how long the surgery will, but no longer than a couple of hours, so he should be out by three or so, and in his new room, if you want to visit. I was warned that he'd be groggy and drugged, so know what to expect.

More as I learn it.

431-4431 might be a direct line to his new room. I'll find out about that, too.
