Mornings, life, stupidity, Padfoot...

Mornings have been blah for me. Perhaps because I've been going to bed between midnight and one every night. I guess when I was living at my parents house I had an excuse to go to sleep early because I had nothing to do, but my life has since kicked into high gear. Between hanging out with friends nightly (well, on the days I can), spending time with my family, and then all the other activities I'm doing (volunteering, USY, Hebrew School)...yeah. There just isn't enough time in each day. And work takes up way way too much of the day. Life should be centered on oh so much more than that.

I wanted to check my text messages this morning, but I was busy getting ready. Then I was going to do it in the car, but didn't want to while I was driving, and told myself I'd check them at work. So then, I get to work and get inside and realize I don't have my phone... so I tell Trikia I have to go to my car for a second, walk way back out the building, get to my car, see my phone.. don't have my keys. I'm not really sure what the point of my story is. Maybe that I have about five texts with no idea what they are about or who they are from. It's exciting.

I got Padfoot shampoo with coal tar in it. For real. That's the second thing recommended for his itching/hairloss. It's human shampoo, but my vet says it will be fine. Here's to a scrumptious superfurry dog!

I also bought a different kind of toothpaste, because apparently either Crest doesn't make or Target doesn't carry my fabulous Vanilla Mint anymore. I also finally bought a scale, which told me I weighed 74 lbs. I freaked out, "Why won't any of my scales tell me my real weight!?" Then I realized it was on the carpet. Stupid Melissa.

Apparently Lincoln concessions aren't food concessions. I always enjoyed working at Godby's, but selling shirts for Lincoln does not sound like fun. It's possible that I'll be doing a sno-cone stand, but it's still not as fun as watching Micah Maxwell be dared to drink all of the leftover jalepeno juice out of the big metal container. And then do it. Ah, memories.

And you already know about the fiasco at Moe's.

Today is going to be a busy day at work.

"If you're not electing Christians, then in essence you are going to legislate sin." - K. Harris

Um, how is this possible? I was pretty sure that 98% of all people hated this woman with a passion, Democrats and Republicans alike. Ugh. I hate you Katherine Harris. Of course, the good news is, I don't think she could ever beat Nelson. I'm curious what the hardcore Conservatives on my list think of her.

Davis beat Smith for the Democratic primary for Governor. Republicanly, Crist beat Gallagher.

For the Superintendent election, Jackie Pons beat Iris Wilson. Pons will face two pretty much idiot non-partisans in the general election, so it's safe to say that he's safe. I met one of them, Patricia Sunday. Not a fan. And the other woman sounds stupid and unknowledgeable.

As for Judge, Ron Flury and John Newton are going to face off in the general election. Lisa Raleigh (who I voted for) got 28%. I'll likely be voting for Flury this time around.

Our incumbent John Marks became Mayor again, whom I have no issues with. I really could care less about County and City Commissioners, but I voted for Allan Katz (who won), a member of our synagogue. I didn't really vote for anything else, because I didn't care enough to be informed on the candidates, and didn't want to vote blindly.

The only candidate that I voted for who didn't win was Lisa Raleigh, and I pretty much knew that was going to happen.

I can't wait for the November 7 general election.

And I really hope you all voted, especially after the 30-something messages I left for friends reminding them.
