I'm typing from Ron's. He's asleep next to me, not so much angelic as drooly. But can I really talk? Apparently I say, "ow" in my sleep for no reason at all.

So my mom's car isn't working. It's the exact opposite problem I had with my car in August. Her car won't turn OFF. The key is stuck in the 'on' position. It's at the Chevrolet place now, and probably for another week. Which means I get to play taxi. Tomorrow, picking up my mom and sister for Sunday School. It wouldn't be so terrible if it weren't so far out of the way, particularly if I'm already on this side of town to begin with. Like, last night, I was leaving services, and Deborah asked me to take her home. It'd take me an extra hour roundtrip to take her home and then back to Ron's. And tomorrow, same issue. Ugh. Oh well. I'm pretty sure that my mom's still driven me more places than I have driven her :-P

I'm exhausted but can't sleep. I kept yawning in the car on the way over here, but now i know I'm sleepy, I'm just not tired. It's an odd feeling.

Workshop earlier today. It was nice. I got several hugs and some "Will you be our baby-sitter?" questions. Honestly I wish I could, but the little free time I do have is very precious. I can't function without some time to myself. The kids were adorable though. And so is my butterfly picture! I made that today at the workshop. We read Stone Soup and they drew pictures about the story, and then The Very Hungry Caterpillar. and then we all did pictures. I love crafty stuff. We're doing some major brainstorming on ways to get people to show up to events like this. We serve food, we have several give-a-ways, we're even going to the public housing communities for some of the workshops, and people STILL don't show up. It's a hazard of any occupation where you work with low-income families. How do you help others help themselves, if others aren't willing to let you help them help themselves?

I wish there was more to do in Tallahassee. I hate wanting to go out and do something (particularly free things) and then having nothing to do, or atleast nothing that I know about. I wish I knew of things on certain nights. If anyone knows anything interesting that is a) free, b) you don't have to be a student for, and c) is something I'd be interested in, please please please let me know. Or even just random low-cost activities to do around here. OR get my friends to a) get daytime jobs, b)get cars, c) have more free time, I'd appreciate that too.

Things to look forward to:
May 1st, for money and RABBIT RABBIT privileges
May 4th for more money and bills being able to be paid
May 6 - For Sab and Ken's "Day after Cinco De Mayo" party
May ? for Bobby's party
Memorial Day weekend in St Augustine

Nap time. I'm going to try, anyway.

The Office -- THE BRITISH VERSION -- is on Georgia Public Television. And for all of you people who thought Tallahassee was in Florida... you're wrong. South Georgia.

Ah, Gainesville memories. Tiny apartment at The Woods. Watching six straight episodes of The Office. Then singing the theme song for about an hour straight after it went off. Then Mario Brothers on my 8-bit.

A year and a half later, I would not have seen myself here. In a tiny apartment. Watching episodes of The Office. Singing the theme song. Then debating Mario Brothers.

(for those who care, I decided against Mario. Stupid-having-to-get-up-in-the-morning.
