Not even throwing rocks...

Chris, the non-neighbor, just came and rang my parents doorbell. At 12:23 am. Is there something wrong with this picture to anyone else? He called around 8 (and around noon, four, and six) and I said I was busy tonight, that I wanted to spend some time with Deborah and to rest. Yet he still came over. And rang the doorbell. At 12:23 am. My dad, answered by the way. He told Chris I was sleeping. I don't know if he thought I was or not, but I'm glad my dad told him that. Firstly because I didn't want to talk to him, and secondly because I hope that will cure him of the habit. Dude, what did he THINK would happen? I'd be all ready to go out with him somewhere? That my parents wouldn't be home after midnight? Oh boy he needs some new thoughts.

Okay, I admit it, I'm Ms. Compulsive Away Message Checker. I check people's away messages that I haven't even talked to in years. And I just checked Jake's. As in Jacob, my first college-boyfriend. I didn't know that it would actually hurt, almost three years after we broke up, to see "i <3 britt" (a girl he's been dating for about a year). I hold no claims on Jake. I think he's an interesting person, but I'm certainly no longer attached to him in any way. So why is it so weird? This is not rhetorical!
