Today was half-off the clothes day, and I really racked up. For $35ish, I got two pairs of jeans, two long jean skirts, one long flowy skirt (necessary for Israel, so I can pull it over shorts if we happen to be in an area where I need to cover my knees), four pairs of shorts, a sweater, a jacket, a long sleeved shirt, and at least four short-sleeved shirts. Yesterday at Dillard's (the one going out of business)I got one skirt and two shirts for $17. Good deals all around!
Then Vivi, Deborah and I visited the Lyle's, an elderly couple that have been our next door neighbors since 93. We rarely visit anymore due to very busy schedules, and it's very hard seeing them get so much older. Mrs. Lyle must have repeated herself many many many times. I don't like watching people get old :-/
Black bean burgers for dinner (made by yours truly) and meat ones for the weirdos who like those. After dinner, Vivi, my mom and I watched It's A Wonderful Life, which I hadn't seen before. I had seen small bits and pieces but never even close to the whole thing. I cried at the end. Good movie.
Tomorrow, Chinese Food and a Movie Day. We're thinking Bee Movie and maybe Super China for lunch with my Aunt Diane. No one should be alone on Christmas :)
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate :)
