Things

I am going to Gainesville tonight. Driving right after work. I wanted to leave a little bit early, but Jeremiah is being lame and wants me to go to lunch with da crew. So I'll either get there around 5:45 or around 6:45. I'm leaving early regardless, cause I got here early.

I'll be back tomorrow around 5 or so to pick up Matthew & Kalina from the airport! I also desperately want to clean my house again before they see it. It's not bad, but my guest room's bed is messed up, and I need to figure out what to do about my mattress situation.

Jack, my foster dog, completely tore up my awesome guest room mattress. Like, ripped into it and KILLED it. I caught him in the act and he looked only slightly guilty. Man, Padfoot's head would have been so low you'd think he lost his best friend. Anyway, the mattress is now unusable as a mattress, but there are several okay pieces that could be cut into shapes and easily have pillow covers made, and I could have some great pillows. I just don't know how crafty I am in making new pillows or floor cushions or whatever. It's awesome memory foam and was awfully expensive to just throw away.

Speaking of, I REALLY really need a new home for Jack. I've had him a month now and I can't really do this anymore. Problem is, I'm too humane to take him to the humane society. If anyone wants a cute dog that likes to tear up mattresses, let me know.

Work is fine. I can't wait for vacation. I REALLY need it. One more week, Mel. One more.

I am crossing my fingers for a B in Health. I don't have my Final Exam grade in Government yet, but unless I get lower than a 63, I keep my A. And I feel like I did pretty awesome on the exam, so there's an A for me.

Here's a picture of acorn shells. There are many many many better pictures that should be on my dad's site soon, but this is just a camera phone pic. My dad picked these, we cracked em, peeled em, and boiled the tannins out. I didn't get to wait till they were done, but my dad ate them. This further proves my theory that he's a squirrel.
