Anyone that liked Ann Coulter or respected her opinions, I really hope that you don't anymore. This is a perfect example of her ignorance and idiocy. Ugh. I really really really really hate her.

Submitter decided Democrat icon tops Jew icon to show disgust from a larger population.

Jews make up 0.02% of the population, and I personally know a Jew with no issues towards Ann Coulter. Find me a Democrat that likes her that much.

But yes, this insults me more as a Jew than as a Democrat.

That comment was completely in bad taste and totally incorrect. Of course, I feel that all people everywhere should get saved, but it's not a matter of ONE particular group or race needing "perfecting".

However, I find it ironic that you would use that icon for this post...since it has sort of a similar message. ALL Republicans are mean, selfish, and greedy? If it's wrong for Coulter to say that all Jews need perfecting, why is it okay for you to say that all Republicans are mean, selfish, and greedy?

two reasons:

because a republican is, by definition, mean, selfish and greedy.

you choose to be republican
you don't choose to be jewish

"because a republican is, by definition, mean, selfish and greedy"

That is as close-minded a statement as Coulter's.

"you choose to be republican
you don't choose to be jewish"

This is true...to an extent. It sounded like Coulter was referring to the RELIGION of Judaism, not the race. In that case, you CAN choose to be Jewish. And people born Jewish can choose to convert to another religion.

What Coulter said was wrong, but what that icon says is wrong too.

you're probably right. I'm just as closed minded as she is.

The thing is, she really is telling the truth if you claim to be a fundamentalist literal-interpretation-of-the-bible kind of person. Which millions of Americans claim to be. Its funny, but most of them don't even know their own beliefs.

If I was in the media, these are the kind of things I would force idiot christian republicans to admit. There was a video going around the liberal blogs a few months ago that was an interview with some republican senator where the interviewer specifically asked if the thought jews were going to hell and then forced the senator to answer. Of course he had to say yes and then ended up losing a lot of votes.
