Thimbles and Thunderstorms, how did you know?

  • I don't think I've made a legit or lengthy LJ entry in days. Deal with it.
  • I wish facebook would stop upgrading all the time. I have Scrabble to play!
  • I am a data entry monkey today.
  • It makes me happy when skinny people from high school gain weight. This is because I am a cruel, cruel person.
  • My little sister comes back in four days. I'm really excited to see her. I am *so* lame.
  • I am really looking forward to my long weekend. REALLY. I deserve it after three forty-eight hour weeks.

Here are Vivi's interview questions for me:
1. Why are you so obsessed with cutting off limbs, reattaching them weird places, etc? Is this a fear you have?
2. What is your favorite dream (while sleeping) that you have ever had?
3. Do you think of yourself as making use of your left brain or right brain more? Do you think this perception is accurate?
4. Would you ever become a vegan? Why or why not? If you say yes, then what's stopping you from doing that now?
5. If you could star in any film role -- let's say a remake of any film, which part would it be and why?

1. Why are you so obsessed with cutting off limbs, reattaching them weird places, etc? Is this a fear you have?

Possibly, but I think it stems more from a very distinct JCL memory. Senior year at State, three of us went, and we were all delegates. In the "Open Forum" we were allowed to ask questions to the candidates, and someone asked "if you could be 50% smarter, but you had to grow a third arm out of your back, would you do it?" and Jane answered "HECK YEAH!" -- it's just a very strong memory in my head, and shows itself in the questions when I'm trying to rack my brain.

2. What is your favorite dream (while sleeping) that you have ever had?

Two come to mind. They are both recurring dreams. The first one probably started sometime in fourth grade. There's a stage, with a red curtain. Steven Langley (long-time crush) is on one side, I'm on the other, and we lift up the curtain and kiss.

The second is just a weird, funkitated dream. I'm not sure when I first had it, but it had to be have been before Deborah existed. The three of us are in the rec room. There's a witch, who is making us go through an obstacle course, which looks like a huge hamster cage, with all the funky attachments. The witch looks a LOT like Viola Swamp from the Miss Nelson books. The dream ends when I see Dennis the Menace go down one of the slides.

3. Do you think of yourself as making use of your left brain or right brain more? Do you think this perception is accurate?

I think my brain battles this one, constantly. I think it may be one of the reasons that I haven't been able to decide on a career path. I hope it doesn't sound too conceited to say maybe I'm both-sides brained.

4. Would you ever become a vegan? Why or why not? If you say yes, then what's stopping you from doing that now?

No. I don't eat red meat anymore, but that doesn't have anything to do with animals, I just don't like it anymore. I could never stop eating chicken soup, which keeps me from being a vegetarian. And I could never ever be vegan, because I could never stop eating cheese. I think that there are essential vitamins that come from these animals, and while they can be reproduced in a vitamin, I don't see that eating them from the source is so terrible.

5. If you could star in any film role -- let's say a remake of any film, which part would it be and why?

It would have to be a musical, of course, and I would have to get to wear pretty dresses. I would love to be Eliza Doolittle or Mary Poppins. Then again, I would be extremely disappointed if either of these movies were remade. The versions I am speaking of are fantastic, and the version I would be in would never ever top those.

As always, comment to be interviewed.
