I bought eight Liriope plants to line my walkway. It's slightly smaller bushes than mondo (monkey!) grass, but has pretty flowers (see link). Plus, these plants work in full-sun (as well as partial) and the mondo grass is better in the shade, which I don't really want/need.
I also bought a bunch of lawn refuse bags, and two pairs of gardening gloves. One was super cheap and seemingly would work fine. The other pair was a little more expensive and has nylon on the outside. Why, I have no idea, but it was kind of cool looking and who knows, there could be a reason (and if anyone knows what it is, let me know).
So, this evening I'll be filling lawn bags with old leaves (what's an easy way to do this?) and planting my liriope.
Pictures to come.
