Move along, no accent here.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The West

Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.

I got "the Midland" with the West right afterward. "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

I said those sound slightly different. What did you say? And don and dawn are the same. We probably only answered one question differently.

I thought the quiz was amazingly accurate. After all, I was born in Missouri, grew up in Florida and live in Atlanta.

Yep. I say them the same way, but I listened to myself several times, and debated on that one question.

And its not saying you lived all three of those places. Just that all three of those places have "no accent." It IS weird how you happened to move/live in places like that though.

Glad you didnt pick up any Chicagoisms

I also got "the Midland", though when I took it last night I got "the Inland North." That one wasn't right at all (because it's certainly not "pop," it's soda). I don't have an accent. People from CT don't have accents.

Some do. The NYers that happen to live in CT definitely have accents. Do you say "harrible" or "whoreible"?

Whoreible is such a useful word.
