Have I mentioned that I love this man?

Monday mornings are "the suck" to put it nicely. Although I've been waking up fairly early this entire weekend, it wasn't work-early, so work-early totally threw me off. I got to work on time, though.

I have so much I want to say, but it's almost like I don't want to share. At the same time, I want a record of all this. Private LJ entries are not an option. I need to start an actual journal/diary sort of thing where I can express thoughts for just me.

I think today might be a many-post day.

Why aren't private LJ posts an option?

Obviously they exist. They just aren't really how I want to do it.

a) I'm stupid when it comes to passwords. Sure, I could be less stupid and choose passwords that no one could ever guess, but I'd forget them. Really.

b) People have their ways. Ron has logged in as me and read my journal before (since we broke up), and I'm sure others have as well. I trust people, and am careless with my password. Won't change it, see "a."

c) Caches. Cookies. Reading over shoulders. Accidentally leaving it up at work.

Most stuff I put on LJ, even the custom-friends group stuff, I have to... not "censor" per se, but I have to realize that it's not completely secure, and that people talk. And other people leave up their friends pages, or let their friends use their computer when they are logged in to LJ. It's not a huge issue or anything, because I don't care THAT much, but if I want something to be completely private, I just don't think private LJ entries are the way to go.

Which is I guess why I want to start a paper diary. Not in place of LJ. Just to supplement. You guys will still get juicy details, I promise :)

Gotcha =) I'm super private with my passwords, so I use the private LJ option. But I can understand that.

I guess if you're super-private with your passwords, and do private LJ entries, that would work, but are you ever afraid about protected entries? That someone else who is listed by you will show the entry to someone who is not? Moreso, someone that you wouldn't want to see them? Purposefully or not?

Considering the people person we know in common.... heh.

Well, I don't think I have anyone on my friends list that would do that to me... but that's also why I have some super protected entries which only the people I really trust can read. If they betrayed that trust, there would be much bigger issues than just what they showed someone.

I've made a few private LJ entries that say "Hello there, bored LJ sysadmin!"

The journal that I've had the best luck with (IE I've stuck with it...here and there) is to basically just write down everything that happened from when you woke up to when you went to sleep. Well, not everything, but an outline of everything and anything memorable along the way.

It really is amazing how much I would have completely forgotten about had I not had that journal to jog my memory.
